May 13 - Starting to Taper

It is taper time for the Madison Marathon. Only 17 days till the Madison Marathon. Running 4 miles today.

4.01 miles, 9:26 minute mile, 37:48 minutes, 602 calories

I did some research on the Madison Marathon. The course looks really hilly. I read a few blogs on the marathon. Most all the comments were talking about the hill at mile 17. I'll have to prepare for that hill. I went on you tube and someone taped a large hill near Observation Drive.

The marathon and the half marathon start at different spots and they limit the runners. The marathon starts on one side of the capital building and the half on the other side at different times. We will run around 2 lakes, past the governers mansion, through 2 parks and through a tunnel.
