Since I don't have the time to watch the basketball games from the NCAA touney I DVR the games so that when I get home I can watch those games. I have to make sure I don't accidently hear a score that could ruin the game. Jermey (my brother) called me on the phone and the first thing he said was "Vanderbilt Lost". I thought he was joking. Jermey didn't know that I had DVR'd the games, but I probably didn't want to watch it anyways if Vandy had lost by a last second shot.
I was home around 7:00 or so for dinner with the fam. Then traditionally I put the boys to bed and Heather puts Kayla to bed. The boys get a Bible story, water and lay with every night. I really enjoy this time, because they tell me everything while I lay with them. I hear about Michael's friends and what happened at school. Josh let's me know about what happened during the day. Heather actually had gone to the grocery tonight so I had Kayla as well. She is very easy to get the bed. Most of the time after rocking her for a few minutes she points to the bed. After I got these things checked off my list I got ready to run. It was a bit chilly outside. Heather wasn't back from the grocery yet. I watched a few minutes of basketball and then Heather got home and it was time to run.
I have to admit I really did not feel like running I would rather watch the games, but I had to keep training. I followed the normal ritual of stretching while listening to "Eye of Tiger" by Survivor. It gets me pumped and ready to run. Off to the races. Tonight was a 5 mile night. I basically ran to Middle TN Christian and back.
5.01 miles, 42:53 minutes, 8:33 minute mile pace, 753 calories
I tried to run at a faster pace then normal. I was happy with the 8:33 minute pace.
